just want a little respect, a bit more consideration,
body – all pain and determination

writhing in the sunlight, kissing the sky,
watching the tides rise and die

Snowcapped mountains in the distance,

An expanse of sand and ever-blue sky,

Wind rustles in through the open windows,

Reverberates like a high fidelity whisper.

When all else is dim and hope seems far gone,

Let’s hold this moment dear,

Alone together, riding in the open air.

Rolling plains,

Mind wide open,

Spring sky settled like an endless gray ocean.

Think don’t spew,

Give the same repect you get,

Listen don’t skew,

How hard is that to follow?

High above the world,
Restless thoughts lull for a moment.

Just thick white smoke and ocean blue,
Dancing in the sky.

High above the world, not a worry or a care.

If only it could feel like this,
be like this forever.

Pale blue sky enraptures me

Settled on the hills and plains

Warmth of the Texas sun

On my embattled LA skin
