Dawn

some things forged, meant to fade

morning light washes the slate

Trees lay bare,

Skyline blackened out by ravenous clouds,

Yet, there is beauty still

in the midst of darkness.

Another year comes to a close,
I’ve suffered lost,
Fell and rose,
And non, je ne regrette rien –

Every moment in life is a lesson.

note à moi-même, ne t’inquiète pas.

Side by side they choose a path,

Neither you, nor I will ever know.

They menace the skies, just briefly stopping to rest,

Under summer sun’s golden glow.
